Michael Jackson had 19 fake IDs for prescription drugs, says his incarcerated former doctor
Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson’s former doctor, claimed the late pop icon had 19 fake IDs to back up his drug addiction.
Jackson died in June 2009 after suffering cardiac arrest related to his use of the anesthetic propofol, which Murray allegedly administered. Murray was sentenced to four years in prison after being convicted of manslaughter for Jackson’s death.
Murray spoke to TMZ for their upcoming documentary, “TMZ Investigates: Who Really Killed Michael Jackson,” and his claims have already gone viral, the New York Post reported. “Michael Jackson was a drug addict. He was a master of manipulation, because I was manipulated by Michael. I never allowed him into his addiction at any time. I cared too much about Michael. I loved Michael” , Murray said in a teaser for the show, shared on YouTube by Fox.
“Circumstances had led to his death for years, and all these different medical professionals had allowed Michael to dictate his own terms, to get the medications he wanted, when he wanted them, where he wanted them” said the Los Angeles Police Department detective. . Orlando Martinez says in the doc, according to the Post. “All are the reason he died today.”
According to the Post, Jackson used propofol in Gatorade-sized bottles as a makeshift sleep aid. He had also inhaled 300 milligrams of Demerol at a time, according to physician and addiction specialist Dr. Drew Pinsky, along with a range of other drugs for many years, the Post continued.
It appears that the majority of Jackson’s later drug addiction was made possible by famed Hollywood dermatologist Arnold Klein, who died in 2015, according to the outlet. Klein’s assistant and Jackson’s ex-wife, Debbie Rowe, said Klein was known to be unethical in his attempt to lure Hollywood celebrities into his offices, the Post noted.
Klein also kept a slew of fraudulent documents on Jackson, helping hide the 19 fake identities he used to dispense prescription drugs to the “Thriller” singer, the Post continued. (RELATED: REPORT: Police say actress Anne Heche was under the influence of cocaine at time of car crash)
“The way Michael went about getting all these drugs was doctor shopping. He had several different doctors he worked with and he would go to ‘Doctor A’ and ask for a sedative and then he would go to the ‘ Doctor B” and could ask for the same,” Jackson’s plastic surgeon, Dr., said Harry Glassman, according to the Post. “Michael is responsible, in large part, for his own disappearance, but he has certainly received a lot of help from the medical community.”
“TMZ Investigates: Who Really Killed Michael Jackson” will air on Fox on September 6. You can watch Murray’s full clip here:
