The Smart Evaporator C1 units, ably supported by the local agent – Asynt, have been widely used by the medicinal chemistry team. The ability to effectively remove traces of solvents was critical to the selection of the BioChromato evaporator, with researchers having to remove solvents from target compounds on a daily basis before submitting them to their biology colleagues for screening. Additionally, CRL researchers routinely use their smart evaporators to isolate synthetic intermediates and recover NMR samples from solution, including those containing high-boiling solvents such as DMSO.

A spokesperson for the University of Oxford commented: “Smart evaporators not only help us with our workflow, but above all they are quick and easy to use, require little or no maintenance and do not occupy only a small space in an extractor hood”.
Designed to be highly reliable and easy to use – the C1 Smart Evaporator is an affordable benchtop system proven to safely and efficiently concentrate or dry individual samples directly from tubes and flasks. Based on patented Spiral Plug™ evaporation technology, the C1 Compact Benchtop Smart Evaporator offers fast and efficient evaporation in tubes or flasks without solvent shock, eliminating the risk of sample loss, cross-contamination and saving researchers time. The C1 Smart Evaporator is optimized to handle solvent volumes up to 40ml, which can be extremely useful for concentrating compounds after organic synthesis or for drying analytical samples at relatively high speeds. The versatile C1 can also take small tubes and bottles where solvent volumes can be as low as 0.1ml.
